Due to a last minute change in his travel plans, our Bishop, Terrell Glenn (head of the Apostles Mission Network) and his wife Teresa will be with us on Sunday, October 2. Sunday Women’s Prayer

At this monthly Sunday morning gathering, women spend a brief time sharing praises and requests, but focus the majority of the time on praying for each other, for others in the Ascension community, and for our church. Participants can pray aloud or silently as others pray. Generally coffee and light breakfast items are provided.  Women’s Prayer will meet at 10:00am on October 2, November 6, and December 4. Even if you cannot come on a given Sunday, it would be our privilege to pray for you.  Please write to Angela Weston at angfaye[at]gmail[dot]com with any prayer requests and/or if you would like location details or reminders about upcoming Women’s Prayer times.

Monday Night Pastor’s Study

On Monday evenings, Chuck Colson will lead an in-depth study through 1 Corinthians, exploring its theology and examining its relevance for the modern world. This class will meet at Christ Church from 7:30-9:00pm.

Women’s Friday Evening Fellowship

Women’s Fellowship will meet every other Friday evening at 7:30pm, beginning September 9. The group’s goal is to provide mutual encouragement and support as we grow in Christ through the challenges we all face each day, to look for ways to provide practical help to each other and those in our Ascension community that may be in need, and to form prayer partnerships (as desired) as we get to know each other better. This semester, we will use Tim Keller’s Counterfeit Gods as a launching point for discussion. Beverages and light snacks will be provided. (If you are unable to eat dinner before you come, you are welcome to bring food with you.) Occasionally, a Saturday brunch will be substituted for a Friday evening.
